Heel Pain

Heel pain is a common problem that can affect people of all ages and activity levels. It may develop gradually over time or appear suddenly, and can be felt underneath, behind or around the heel.

There isn't one single cause of heel pain. Symptoms may be related to the plantar fascia, Achilles tendon, heel fat pad, joints, nerves or other surrounding structures. Footwear, activity levels, foot mechanics and certain medical conditions may also contribute.

Because different conditions can produce very similar symptoms, understanding the cause is an important part of choosing the right treatment. At FootMediX, we assess your symptoms alongside your foot structure, movement, footwear and lifestyle to help identify what may be contributing to your pain and develop an appropriate management plan.
